Rehoboth Boardwalk committee to meet
The Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk and Beach Committee has scheduled a meeting for 10:30 a.m., Monday, Nov. 16. The meeting will be conducted online. The agenda calls for a review of the committee’s mission and a discussion on the commercialization of the Boardwalk. Special Rehoboth meeting set Nov. 17
Rehoboth Beach commissioners have scheduled a special meeting for 3 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 17. The meeting will be conducted online. The agenda calls for a discussion on strategies and the path forward in addressing the COVID-19 pandemic. The agenda also calls for discussing bid results for improvements to the Delaware Avenue comfort station and the city’s water meter replacement program. Milton streets committee to meet
Milton Streets, Sidewalks and Parks Committee will meet at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 17, at Grace Church, to discuss recommendations from the Delaware Department of Transportation to put deliniators or striping at the intersection of Route 5 and Route 16 and the intersection of Mulberry Street and Route 16. The committee will also discuss the recommendation for adding crosswalk striping at Lavinia, Mulberry, Wharton, Chestnut and Atlantic streets, and changing the travel direction of Church, Sand, Poplar, Manship streets and Hazzard Lane.
Lewes Action Plan Subcommittee to meet
The Lewes Planning Commission’s Action Plan Subcommittee will meet virtually at 3:30 p.m., Monday, Nov. 16, to continue discussion on a plan to act on items in the city’s comprehensive plan. A link to the meeting can be found at lewes.civicweb.net.
Lewes Parks and Rec meets Nov. 16
The Lewes Parks and Recreation Commission will meet virtually at 6 p.m., Monday, Nov. 16. The group will discuss the open space in a proposed five-lot major subdivision between Kings Highway and Freeman Highway. A link to the meeting and plans can be found at lewes.civicweb.net.
Lewes Bike and Ped meets Nov. 17
The Lewes Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee will meet virtually at 6 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 17. The group will discuss the status of the city’s application to be a Bicycle Friendly Community. Business park on Sussex council agenda
Sussex County Council will meet at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 17, in the county administration building, 2 The Circle, Georgetown. Included on the agenda is a presentation on the Western Sussex Business Park and a 1:30 p.m. public hearing on a rezoning application from AR-1, agricultural-residential, to C-2, medium commercial district, for an 11.5-acre parcel on the southwest side of Plantation Road filed by Plantation Partners LLC.
