Lewes Fourth Street panel to meet Jan. 14
The Lewes Fourth Street Preserve Subcommittee will receive an update on the project’s master plan at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 14, at city hall.
The Lewes Economic, Environment and Resiliency commission will meet at 3 p.m. in the same location. Its agenda includes discussion and possible action regarding renaming of the New Road Field.
African American group to meet Jan. 15
The Lewes African American Heritage Commission will meet at 5 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 15, at city hall.
The agenda includes discussion and possible action on several projects, including the Used to Be My Playground Program, set for Saturday, Feb. 21.
The panel will also get an update on the Johnnie Walker Beach pavilion design and construction.
Dewey budget workshop Jan. 16
Dewey Beach Town Council will hold a public workshop to review and discuss the draft FY 2027 budget at 1 p.m., Friday, Jan. 16, at the town lifesaving station.
Commissioners are set to discuss all aspects of the upcoming fiscal year, including financial policies, expenditures and revenue streams.
Rehoboth budget meeting set
Rehoboth Beach commissioners will hold a budget meeting at 9 a.m., Friday, Jan. 16, at city hall, 229 Rehoboth Ave.
The agenda calls for discussion and possible consideration of the draft budget for Fiscal Year 2027, including the capital improvement plan, and schedule of fees and penalties.
The city’s fiscal year runs April 1 to March 31. This meeting is the first of five planned to take place over the next couple of months.

Free kidney disease webinar set. Jan. 21
TidalHealth will offer a free webinar on chronic kidney disease from 1 to 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 21, and community members are invited to sign up for the virtual presentation.
TidalHealth’s chronic disease nurses will share information on slowing disease progression, monitoring kidney health, dialysis and transplant options, diet tips and financial considerations.
