Cape, Aspira partner to offer Pfizer vaccine clinic Aug. 11, Sept. 1

Cape Henlopen School District has partnered with Aspira Health in Lewes to provide a free Pfizer vaccine clinic for students over age 12, families, staff and the public from noon to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 11, and from noon to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 1, for individuals to receive a second shot. Both events will take place at the Cape High gymnasium. Schedule an appointment at Aspira Health, aspira.as.me/schedule.php?calendarID=5094063. The day before the appointment, registrants will receive a link via text and/or email to complete their registration. Individuals under 18 years old will need consent forms completed if no parent/guardian is present or cannot be reached via phone. The form is available at capehenlopenschools.com/vaccine-clinic. Officials said vaccination is not required, but is encouraged. “As we look to the start of the school year, our collective COVID-19 vaccination status will play a significant role in helping us to re-establish normalcy in our schools and in the community. It’s important to note that current Delaware Division of Public Health guidance will require the district to quarantine unvaccinated individuals when they are identified as a contact to a COVID-positive case. Vaccinated individuals will not need to quarantine based on the current DPH guidelines,” the district statement read.
