Nick H. Economides, cherished his family

Nick H. Economides, 84, of Millsboro, passed away Monday, May 1, 2017, at his home. He was born Monday, Nov. 21, 1932, in Baltimore, Md., son of the late Harry and Mary Economides.

Mr. Economides was a proud U.S. Navy veteran. After serving his country, he went on to earn a master’s degree from George Washington University, and enjoyed a career as a director of technology in the healthcare and finance industries. Mr. Economides coached soccer, played softball, and liked to golf. More than anything, however, he cherished time spent with his adored family. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Mr. Economides is survived by his beloved wife, Dixie (James) Economides; his children: Nicholas, Michael, Alan, Kimberly, Tammy and Robert; and his grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, May 4, at 11 a.m., at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, where friends may call beginning at 9 a.m. Interment will follow the services at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro.
