Ocean Atlantic-Sotheby’s opens in Lewes
Ocean Atlantic Sotheby’s International Realty celebrated opening of its Lewes office July 13.
“We love Lewes and we’ve always wanted to have more of a presence here but we hadn’t had the right spot. When this came available, we just thought it made a lot of sense,” said Justin Healy, co-owner and broker, Ocean Atlantic Sothby’s International Realty.
Josephine Keir Ltd. previously occupied the suite, which has been reappointed by the real estate company.
“It’s downtown, people can walk here, there’s a lot of pedestrian traffic and it works,” Healy said about the location.
The office provides real estate sales and rental services.
“One of the nice things about our affiliation with Sotheby’s is that we have broader exposure. We like to say we have local presence with global exposure,” Healy said. The Lewes office is staffed with seven sales agents, a rental agent and receptionist.
The Lewes office is Ocean Atlantic Sotheby’s third in the Cape Region. The company also has offices in Bethany Beach and Rehoboth Beach. Ocean Atlantic has more than 60 agents, who specialize in southern Delaware real estate.
Its mission is to exceed customer expectations by listening to their needs and having a true understanding of the local market.
Ocean Atlantic Sotheby’s also contracts third-party marketing teams that focus on helping agents get the most visibility for clients by targeting key markets such as Maryland; Washington, D.C.; Pennsylvania; Delaware; New York; New Jersey; and surrounding areas.
The company’s experienced Delaware Realtors have spent years in the real estate market and, as local residents, are experts in towns and cities such as Bethany Beach, Dagsboro, Dewey Beach, Fenwick Island, Georgetown, Laurel, Lewes Beach, Milford, Millsboro, Milton, Rehoboth Beach and Seaford.
The company maintains an extensive customer database, which contains more than 20,000 names, and adds several hundred names annually.
“We’re really excited to get working and get started in this market,” Healy said.
