Ocean Medical Imaging closes after 17 years
After 17 years in business, the owners of Ocean Medical Imaging in Milton have decided to close.
The business had its last official day Feb. 26, but the office will continue processing medical record requests for the next two months to ensure continuity of care. After that time, all imaging studies and reports will be easily available through a medical records custodian in accordance with state and federal regulations. The custodian’s contact information, along with instructions for requesting records, will be posted on the practice’s website once finalized.
Dr. Jonathan Patterson, who owns the practice with his wife, Kristin, said, “For 17 years, this practice has been an integral part of this community. It has been a privilege to care for families across Sussex County, and I am profoundly grateful for the trust they placed in us. I am incredibly proud of our team. Their dedication, kindness and commitment to our patients made Ocean Medical Imaging what it is. Together, we built something truly special.”
Ryan Mavity covers Milton and the court system. He is married to Rachel Swick Mavity and has two kids, Alex and Jane. Ryan started with the Cape Gazette all the way back in February 2007, previously covering the City of Rehoboth Beach. A native of Easton, Md. and graduate of Towson University, Ryan enjoys watching the Baltimore Ravens, Washington Capitals and Baltimore Orioles in his spare time.
