One dies in Milford crash

A driver died Oct. 15 following a single-car crash on Bay Road.

The crash happened at 8:35 p.m. as a Ford Mustang was traveling northbound on Bay Road north of Jenkins Pond Road, police said, and for reasons still under investigation, left the east side of the roadway and struck a tree. Police said the car then caught fire with the driver still inside.

The driver, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Bay Road was closed while the scene was investigated and cleared.
