The Rehoboth Beach Farmers Market will open for its 20th season with a special ribbon cutting at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 5, at Grove Park.
Officiated by Rehoboth Beach Mayor Stan Mills, the event will celebrate the market’s 20th anniversary. Kerry Hallett, will be the musical guest, playing her guitar and singing favorite tunes. This season there will be approximately 40 vendors offering fresh local produce, baked goods, coffee, specialty teas, jams, jellies and honey, garden herbs and plants, flowers, doggie treats, and delicious breakfast and lunch options.
The Rehoboth Beach Farmers Market has had a continuing partnership with the Community Resource Center over the past few years, donating fresh local produce and other food items to support the less fortunate in area communities. Due to the ongoing challenges facing local food banks and other charitable organizations, the RBFM will have a volunteer representative from the CRC on site every Tuesday to collect nonperishable food items, fresh produce and meats, and other food items that can be purchased and donated to help feed local community members.
The Rehoboth Beach Farmers Market is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., every Tuesday, rain or shine, May through October, at Grove Park on Rehoboth Avenue at the traffic circle, adjacent to the Visitor’s Center in Rehoboth Beach.
