Outgoing Rehoboth Safeway manager thanks all

December 20, 2012

After 31 years of service with Safeway Inc., I have decided to retire.

I would like to thank my current staff for their dedication and support, over the course of the seven years we have been open in Rehoboth Beach. I would like to thank my department managers Sue Herd, Dabney Mason, Desiree Tester, Debbie Talley, Sandy Baldwin, Amanda Altemus, Gary Lessner, Kay Bugher, Rick Hutchins, Susan Sullivan, Greg Rinker, Clarissa Owens,Tameka Hicks, April Eanes, Pam Neville, Susan Walton, Tony Franklin, Andreu West and
Dee Bunch.

I would like to thank the current and past employees that have shared in our success over the years. Without their efforts, our success would not have been able to be achieved.

I would also like to thank the many vendors that have supported me over the years. I would like to thank the many customers that have supported the store. Through your loyalty, we have been able to spread the Safeway brand in Rehoboth Beach. Hopefully, I will see some of you throughout the
community to personally say thank you.

Lastly, I have always said, "Grocery stores exist to feed a community." Thanks for allowing me to serve you over the course of the last seven years. I will be  forever grateful.
