Construction is underway at the end of Cedar Street on Lewes Beach, and soon, visitors to Roosevelt Inlet will be parking in clearly defined spaces, including a brand-new handicap spot with access to the beach.
Cyclists will also find a more hospitable landing spot with the addition of a bike rack. Parking at the inlet will remain free.
Officials closed the lot April 27-29 and expect periodic closures in early May; for more information go to ci.lewes.de.us.
