Patricia Federmann Evans, avid traveler

Patricia Federmann Evans, 99, formerly of Washington, D.C., passed away peacefully Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2021, in Rehoboth Beach. She was born Dec. 30, 1921, in Seymour, Ind., to William L. and Grace H. Federmann.

Mrs. Evans was a graduate of Shortridge High School, Indianapolis, Ind., and George Washington University, Washington, D.C. She truly enjoyed her 13-year career as registrar at Holton-Arms School and was an active member and former elder of National Presbyterian Church, Washington, D.C. Mrs. Evans was an avid traveler, skilled bridge player, and follower of the stock market. Above all, she cherished time spent with those she held most dear. Mrs. Evans was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Evans was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard C. Evans; and her daughter, Emily H. Evans. She is survived by her children: Anne E. Dietrich (William C.) and Jane K. Evans; her grandchildren: Christopher C. Elsner (Renata), Andrew E. Dietrich (Sara), William F. Dietrich, and C. Noelle Dietrich (Allison); her great-grandchildren: Anika R. Dietrich, Lucas L. Dietrich, and Isabel A. Dietrich.

Services will be private. Arrangements have been entrusted to Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in Mrs. Evans’ memory to Berea College, 101 Chestnut St., Berea, KY 40403-9981.
