Paul Kares brunch to feature Cape High jazz band Dec. 17
The Room at Cedar Grove will host the Cape Henlopen High School Jazz Band to entertain brunch guests at 11 a.m., Sunday, Dec. 17, at 32882 Cedar Grove Road, Lewes.
The event will benefit Paul Kares, a Lewes-based nonprofit that supports young performers and culinary artists.
Last year, the 501c3 organization awarded the jazz band $3,000 for travel to the National Association for Music Education Eastern Division Conference.
“We are eager to showcase the jazz band’s talent and raise money for more teens with a passion for music,” said Michael Whitehouse, executive director of Paul Kares, founded by musician-chef Paul Cullen and Jim Rivette. “This is the second time that the band has performed at The Room at Cedar Grove, and they are truly remarkable. It’s a great way to spend a Sunday during the holiday season.”
For $35, guests will enjoy brunch and entertainment. Cocktails, including Bloody Marys and other beverages, will be sold separately.
