Pedestrian improvement project moving along in Rehoboth
Crosswalks, signage being installed at State Road, Grove and Munson streets

Years in the making, pedestrian improvements at the intersection of Grove and Munson streets and State Road in Rehoboth Beach are well underway.
When completed, there will be a new crosswalk across Munson Street, a new crosswalk across State Road and flashing pedestrian beacons similar to ones installed on Rehoboth Avenue a couple of years ago. Bump outs have been installed on all four corners of the intersection to make the distance across the street shorter.
The city awarded the contract to A-Del Construction for about $300,000. Construction began a few weeks ago and is expected to be done before the end of the city’s fiscal year, which is March 31.

When complete, there will be crosswalks across State Road and Munson Street.
