Plans approved for hotel, condos, retail at Coastal Station
Sussex planning commission OKs major project outside Rehoboth Beach

At its Feb. 28 meeting, Sussex County Planning and Zoning Commission approved a preliminary site plan for Phase 2 of Coastal Station along Holland Glade Road near Rehoboth Beach, adjacent to Epworth United Methodist Church.
Included in the plans are a 4-story, 71,400-square-foot hotel and 165,800 square feet of mixed retail and residential with 63 condominium units on a 5-acre commercial parcel. Once all state agency approvals are received, the developer can submit a final site plan to the county planning and zoning office for review and approval.
Phase 1 included Iron Hill Brewery, Royal Farms and Chaps Pit Beef.
