Ploughing snow the old-fashioned way in 1921

While it’s been a relatively mild winter so far, there’s still plenty of time ahead for snow and cold in the mid-Atlantic region. AccuWeather and the Old Farmers’ Almanac concur that the best shot for any appreciable snow in 2021 will come in late February and early March.

This photo from 100 years ago shows how Delaware farmers cleared their roads before the advent of motorized snowplows.
