Police investigating Lewes fatal crash
Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal single-car crash that occurred overnight April 26 outside Lewes.
At 12:20 a.m., a Dodge Ram was traveling southbound on Wil King Road just south of Kendale Road. For reasons still under investigation, the car left the roadway, crashed into a ditch and overturned on its roof before striking a tree.
The driver was a 27-year-old Lewes man whose name is being withheld until his family is notified. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle. He was taken to the hospital where he later died.
The Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating the incident. Anyone with more information or who witnessed the crash can call Master Cpl. R.
