Preston Automotive Group installs AEDs as safety initiative

Preston Automotive Group recently announced the installation of automated external defibrillators at all 26 of its locations.

This initiative comes in memory of Mike Bullis, the company's beloved service director, who passed away from cardiac arrest last September.

"Mike was more than just a colleague; he was a dear friend and a fundamental part of PAG," said Dave Wilson Sr., Preston Automotive Group president. "We miss him daily, and we hope these AEDs will serve as a lasting tribute to his memory and potentially save lives in the future."

Preston Automotive Group has partnered with local fire departments to provide training on the proper use of AEDs for its employees. This commitment to employee and customer safety builds upon the company's long-standing support for the American Heart Association.

In February, the PAG green frog mascot turns red in recognition of the AHA and National Heart Month. Pansy Wilson, Dave's mother and a longtime nurse, helped choose this color and organization while working to educate the community on heart health.

Since 2014, PAG has consistently supported the AHA, raising funds through various initiatives. This past February, PAG held a special donation week in honor of Bullis, generating $11,750 for the AHA.

PAG secured an additional $40,500 through a combination of car sales in December and a dedicated sales push driven by the company's Top 60 team. The group’s logo subtly incorporated the initials "MB" with the iconic frog design, further honoring Bullis's memory.

"We are incredibly grateful to our dedicated employees and customers who helped us reach this significant milestone," said Wilson. "By ensuring all our locations have AEDs readily available, we aim to create a safer environment for everyone who walks through our doors."
