Rachel Southmayd, David Campbell wed

Rachel Southmayd and David Campbell were united in marriage Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014, at sunset at Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens in Belmont, N.C. Rabbi Jonathan Freirich of Temple Beth El in Charlotte officiated at the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of the Hon. and Mrs. Andrew Southmayd of Ocean View. The groom is the son of Mr. Dean Campbell & Mrs. Gail Campbell, both of Milton.

The bride wore a lace A-line gown and her mother's veil. Her bouquet consisted of white roses and hydrangeas. Her maid of honor was her younger sister, Rebecca Southmayd. Other bridesmaids were sister Emily Southmayd, the groom's cousin Megan Campbell, and friends Amy Catanese, Emma Catanese, Blair Menzel, Taylor Seymour and Madelyn Smith.

Best man was Michael Campbell of Baltimore, Md., twin brother of the groom. Other groomsmen were cousin Jonathan Campbell, godfather Paul McLane and friends Jordan Duffy, Kenneth Grecco, Zachary Murr, Mason Small and Nathan Tanner. Junior bridesmaid and junior groomsman were the bride's cousins Margaret and Robert Franco of Summit, N.J.

A reception with 110 friends and family members was held following the ceremony at Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens, and the couple took a honeymoon at Walt Disney World. The bride is a 2009 graduate of Sussex Technical High School, and the groom is a 2009 graduate of Cape Henlopen High School. Both bride and groom graduated in May 2013 from Elon University in North Carolina. The bride works for The Herald in Rock Hill, S.C., and the groom works for Ernst & Young LLP in Charlotte, N.C. The couple resides in Charlotte.
