RAL Cottage Tour homeowners receive original artwork of their homes

Tour is July 10-11
July 9, 2018

The Rehoboth Art League hosted a patron party June 28 for the 2018 Cottage Tour homeowners, sponsors, patrons and volunteers who make the annual tour a great success. The 160 attendees were an indication of just how popular this tour is. Featured artist Dale Sheldon presented attending homeowners with the framed original watercolor paintings of their homes. She also presented the Rehoboth Art League with an original painting of the campus’s historic Peter Marsh Homestead, which is always a highlight of the Cottage Tour.

The Cottage Tour will include seven exceptional private homes and the Rehoboth Art League’s Historic Homestead open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Tuesday and Wednesday, July 10 and 11. J. Conn Scott, tour underwriter, has begun the interior makeover of the Homestead. Richard and Lisa Scott, along with Steve Bendyna, are blending modern furnishings and decorations to complement the historical design in the first floor of the Homestead.

There is free parking at the Rehoboth Elementary School at 500 Stockley St. Ext., and the art league provides Jolly Trolley shuttle service to each home on the tour.

Tickets are $35 per person. To purchase, go to www.rehobothartleague.org, call 302-227-8408 or visit these locations: in Rehoboth Beach, Rehoboth Art League, 12 Dodds Lane, Henlopen Acres; Bellinger’s Jewelers; Browseabout Books; Farmer Girl Exotic Gardens; J. Conn Scott Showhouse; Windsor’s Flowers & Plants; in Fenwick Island: Carolina Street; in Lewes: Community Bank Delaware and Lewes Gourmet; in Bethany Beach: Sea Needles. Any tickets purchased online or by phone must be picked up in the RAL gallery. This tour is appropriate for ages 13 and over.

The Cottage Tour proceeds benefit the programs of the Rehoboth Art League, which seeks to teach art, inspire artists and their admirers, and preserve the artistic heritage of the region. The art league welcomes sponsorship support from local businesses.
