Rally for Our First Responders postponed until May 21

Rain forces organizers to reschedule

The Rally for our First Responders at Hudson Fields has been postponed until Sunday, May 21. The event was scheduled for May 20, but rain has forced a change in plans.

The event will run from noon to 6 p.m.

The event recognizes the Sussex County Paramedic Association, Lewes Fire Department, Milton Fire Department, Georgetown Fire Department, Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company, Indian River Fire Department, Fit 4 Duty Foundation, Delaware C.O.P.S., Delaware Association of Chiefs of Police, and Camp Barnes.

Each supported organization will present fire, rescue, emergency medical services and police informational displays. Demonstrations throughout the day include first responder vehicles, K-9, aviation, SORT team, scuba team, mounted police, specialty equipment, DSP aviation, honor guard and many more.

Attractions include live music from four great bands, children’s activities, food trucks, Revelation beer, wine and cocktails from Easy Speak and Chelsea & Company, silent and live auctions, and a variety of vendors and more. 

Tickets are $20 per person, with children ages 12 and under admitted free.
