Rally supports first responders

Revelation Craft Brewing and Hudson Fields sponsor event

The inaugural Rally for Our First Responders at Hudson Fields May 15 helped raise funds and awareness of the importance of the frontline people.

The event was presented by Revelation Craft Brewing Co. and Hudson Fields with Beebe Healthcare as the lead sponsor.

The event benefited American Legion, Sussex County Paramedics Association, Lewes Fire Department, Georgetown Fire Company, Delaware Police Chiefs Foundation, Milton Fire Department and Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company.

Five bands – WiFi, Hit & Run, Scrapple, Love Seed Mama Jump and Bad River – participated to provide music throughout the six-hour event. More than 50 local vendors had their products for sale and a double line of food trucks took up a large section of the venue serving everything from ice cream to pizza. Providing beer and spirits were Revelation, Easy Speak Spirits, Sposato Family Vineyards and Beach Time Distilling.

Agencies taking part in the event included the Milton, Lewes, Rehoboth Beach and Lewes fire departments; Sussex County EMS; police officers from Delaware Natural Resources, Lewes, New Castle County and Rehoboth Beach; the Division of Alcohol and Firearms; Beebe Healthcare; Delaware State Fire School; U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary; Delaware State Police bomb, K-9 and helicopter units; and Department of Correction.
