Reading the Gazette on the equator in Kenya

Marti and David Garret of Rehoboth Beach went on a 2-week safari tour in Nairobi, Kenya. The trip was hosted by Marti’s alma mater, Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. While in Kenya, they took the Cape Gazette to the equator and are shown here standing in different hemispheres. There are about 89 miles between Nairobi, Kenya, and the equator. The equator passes about 4 miles south of the town of Nanyuki in Laikipia County, Kenya.
