Reception with artist Jim Rehak set Dec. 10 at Nassau Vineyards

Nassau Valley Vineyards will display the fine art of award-winning artist Jim Rehak from Saturday, Dec. 2, to Tuesday, Jan. 2. A reception with the artist will be held from 12 to 3 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 10, in conjunction with the farmers market at the vineyards.

The focus of the show and sale will be Rehak's plein air oil paintings of the Delmarva coast. The landscapes include interpretations of Cape Henlopen State Park, Rehoboth Beach and Bethany Beach. It was while studying for his bachelor of fine arts degree at the Maryland Institute College of Art that his interest in oil painting emerged. Art has always been a vocation for Rehak, as a caricature artist on the Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk, art director at a sign company, a teacher and a freelance court illustrator.

He participates in plein air paint outs and competitions as well as being represented by various fine art galleries. Rehak has won Best in Show awards at Rehoboth Art League, Art League of Ocean City, Chesapeake College and Plein Air Brandywine.
