Regetta ‘Penny’ Dunphy, antiques shop owner
Regetta V. "Penny" Dunphy, 86, formerly of Hollywood Parkway, Pa., died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011, at Manor Care Kingston Court.
She was the wife of the late John E. Dunphy.
Penny was born in York, Pa., Nov. 16, 1925, a daughter of the late Charles D. and Virginia (Benedict) Pensinger.
She was the owner of the former Copper Penny Antiques with locations at Eastern Market in York and Lewes.
She was a member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church and the Optimisses.
The visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m., Friday, Dec. 16, at Eastminster Presbyterian Church, 311 Haines Road.
Penny is survived by a son, John O. Dunphy, husband of Karen, of Annapolis, Md.; a daughter, Gail Kerchner, wife of Jim, of Spring Garden Twp., Pa.; five grandchildren, Kristina Dunphy, Kyle Dunphy, Jonathan Smith and wife Greta, Curtis Kerchner, and Erin Kerchner; and one great-granddaughter, Lena Smith.
The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Gregory D. Seckman officiating. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery.
