Regional trunk show to feature artisan jewelry Feb. 10 in Lewes
Bronze Anchor Studios will present a Regional Artisan Jewelry Trunk Show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 10, at the Villages of Five Points clubhouse, 17339 North Village Main Blvd., Lewes, with free parking. The event, which is free and open to the public, will feature 14 artisans from across the Mid-Atlantic Region.
A jury of four artists with more than 40 combined years of experience in the jewelry industry has selected the participants from an incredible pool of talent. The jewelry presented will offer a wide variety of techniques, styles and one-of-a-kind works. Artists from the Torpedo Factory in Virginia to Boston will be in Lewes for locals to enjoy. Among the many styles will be fine silver- and goldsmith designs, fine crystal and gemstone beading, high-quality gemstones, authentic sea glass styles, beach stone lapidary designs, enamel and wearable sculptures.
For the first time ever, a local gemologist who has been collecting and specializing in gemstones and cabochons for over 30 years will open his personal gem collection to the public for purchase. The large selection of outstanding pieces will provide a great opportunity to buy gifts for Valentine’s Day or any day.
Many of the jewelers will also make custom creations with unused or heirloom stones, their own stones, or gemstones purchased the day of the show.
