Rehoboth Airport as it looked from the air in 1949
January 23, 2019
Dave Kenton, via his son Casey, passed along this aerial photo of the Rehoboth Airport in 1949. Dave started flying lessons in the 1970s and would often fly into Rehoboth. The airport, which has long since given way to houses, paralleled Airport Road between Old Landing Road and Route 1, west of Rehoboth Beach. In his message included with the photo he sent, Casey made a short but undeniably accurate observation: “A lot can change in 70 years.”
