The 44th Annual Outdoor Fine Art & Fine Craft Show opened Aug. 5-6 with more than 125 national artists at Rehoboth Art League in Henlopen Acres. Whimsy was prevalent in many booths this year - rich painted colors and large imposing creations made an impression on visitors.
The Outdoor Show is a juried event, and many of the artists offer demonstrations during the show. Historically, work was hung on snow fences on the property, and some artists maintain this homage to history. The event is full of activities, including great food, music, tours, face-painting, artist demonstrations, gallery exhibits, beautiful gardens, the historic Homestead, and a Dogfish Head Beer Garden.
The show continues this weekend, Aug. 12-13, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
