Rehoboth Beach 2022 Cottage & Town Awards winners named
Rehoboth Beach Main Street recognized the winners of the 2022 Cottage & Town Awards with a presentation Aug. 28 at the Bellmoor Inn & Spa. The awards recognize residential and commercial property owners who contribute to the charm, beauty and history of downtown Rehoboth through architectural and landscape architectural renovation, restoration and preservation.
There are four award categories, including residential renovation, restoration and preservation; commercial renovation, restoration and preservation; landscape architectural renovation, restoration and preservation; and residential new construction. Winners received an embossed bronze plaque.
This year’s winners were the Bellmoor Inn and Spa at 6 Christian St. for their landscaping; Robin Dole of 503 Jones Lane for new construction; Second Block Hospitality Group for commercial renovation of Drift at 42 ½ Baltimore Ave.; and Jim Williamson and Nicholas Somers of 119 Columbia Ave. for renovation. The Cooper Cottages on New Castle Street and Tom Kelly were recognized as honorable mentions for their renovation projects. Kelly renovated the historic bungalow that was formerly at 413 Rehoboth Ave.
