Rehoboth Beach Homeowners Association stresses impartiality

August 5, 2025

We are writing to clarify recent information circulating during this year’s Rehoboth Beach city commissioner election.

A campaign communication from one of the candidates included a claim that the Rehoboth Beach (South) Homeowners Association had endorsed their candidacy. In order to avoid any confusion among voters, there is no relationship between the Rehoboth Beach Homeowners’ Association and Rehoboth Beach (South) Homeowners Association, an organization of which we are not aware. RBHA was founded more than 50 years ago with a mission to advocate and educate, and has more than 800 paying members from across the city.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit civic organization, RBHA does not endorse, support or oppose any candidate for public office. This is a core tenet of our bylaws and a requirement for our nonprofit status.

The RBHA recently held a candidate forum where all candidates had an opportunity to present their platforms and vision for our city. A video of the candidate forum is available on our website at RBhome.org

We remain firmly committed to providing accurate information to homeowners in Rehoboth Beach.
