Rehoboth Beach Main Street names Dan Slagle executive director

The Rehoboth Beach Main Street Inc. board of directors announced that Dan Slagle has been named executive director.

With more than 30 years’ small business experience, Slagle has the skill set to collaborate successfully with Rehoboth Beach business owners, merchants, residents and community leaders to promote the positive image of downtown Rehoboth Beach as a great place to visit, shop, dine and invest.

From owning a small business to managing businesses for others, Slagle brings vast business knowledge and the sales, marketing and management expertise necessary to assist downtown small business owners in Rehoboth Beach.

Slagle comes to the Rehoboth Beach Main Street organization from his previously held position as store manager for the Spice & Tea Exchange in Rehoboth Beach. Under his leadership, the store has increased sales to become the No. 1-grossing store nationwide for the past four years.

A resident of the Rehoboth Beach-Lewes area for more than 21 years, Slagle is well known among his peers and colleagues for his high energy, drive and passion to see the downtown Rehoboth Beach commercial district prosper.

"Businesses need customers every day to succeed,” said Slagle. “Through teamwork, collaboration and communication, I'm looking forward to leading Rehoboth Beach Main Street in its economic revitalization efforts."

Composed of downtown businesses and residents, Rehoboth Beach Main Street is a nonprofit, volunteer-driven organization dedicated to supporting business through partnerships that will strengthen and unify the community.
