Rehoboth Beach residents support Hillary Clinton
Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton held her official kick off day June 13 and a group of 52 Sussex Countians celebrated the event at a house in Rehoboth Beach.
Hosted by Lise Haupt and Dennis Berlin, the group watched Clinton’s kick off speech made at Roosevelt Island in New York and then had a discussion on the direction of the campaign in Delaware.
Jon Shields, Delaware Grassroots Organizer for Hillary, led the discussion.
Haupt said the Rehoboth Beach party was one of 496 house parties across the country scheduled by the Clinton campaign. She said there was a party in each Congressional district, which was the first time in campaign history this level of organization had occurred.
Haupt said as the campaign season gets into full gear, the group plans to hold more events to let people know about Hillary's positions on issues.
