Rehoboth Beach vacationing in the 1940s

November 28, 2018

Jeanne Smith of Lewes found this photograph in some family files. It shows her mom mom and pop pop (Willis Berry), and her mom and dad, at their Rehoboth Beach summer place near present-day Grove Park. Recreational vehicles and camping cabins were different almost 80 years ago, but a stringer of fresh flounder fried over a fire near the comfort of ocean breezes was no less appreciated.
