Rehoboth boys thank retiring Rehoboth Police Sgt. Victor Letonoff

May 25, 2020

Over the last few years, 8-year-old Alden Durrell and his 5-year-old brother Quinlan of Rehoboth Beach have become friendly with Rehoboth Beach Police Department Sgt. Victor Letonoff.

The Durrell family lives on Columbia Avenue in Rehoboth, and the boys thought it was cool when they found out Letonoff had grown up on the same street.

To wish him a happy retirement and thank him for keeping Rehoboth safe, Alden wrote a letter to Letonoff. Parents Nicole Tierney Durrell and Robert Durrell accompanied the boys to the police department where they hand-delivered the letter to Letonoff. Even Chief Keith Banks was there applauding the gesture.
