Due to COVID-19 restrictions, Rehoboth Beach will not host its annual tree lighting and sing-along this year. However, there will be a Christmas tree throughout the holiday season – Lewes’ Jerry Owens has donated one.

The event is traditionally held on Black Friday, which is Nov. 27 this year. In a press release Oct. 20, the city encouraged people to shop and eat downtown. Throughout the weekend, said the release, holiday music will be playing in businesses and at the Bandstand.

“Come early and stay late,” said the release. “Please help us support local businesses, enjoy the start of the holiday season and take a stroll along the Boardwalk during the upcoming winter months.”
