Rehoboth Elementary staff did phenomenal job

June 13, 2025

We'd like to take this time to thank teachers in the Cape Henlopen School District at Rehoboth Elementary School.

First, we would like to thank from the bottom of our hearts two phenomenal teachers – Missy Dawson and Portia Craig.

They have done a wonderful job working with our daughter in many areas, from academics, social skills, improving reading skills, to the importance of communication between school and home, helping her to learn the importance of a second language in Spanish while teaching her in a classroom with much love and compassion, to just being great teachers and leaders in our little girl's life as she maneuvered into first grade needing support in reading and math.

As parents, we have received such support for all our concerns, and they have kept us familiar with the curriculum and strategies used to help our daughter in first grade.

Because of these great educators, our daughter has flourished into a smart little girl who loves school, reading and her friends.

Our daughter has received the best first-grade year we as parents could ask for.

We also very much want to thank Gilbert Maull for all his extra help and support, and his talks here and there on our daughter’s growth when we would visit the school for an event. Mr. Maull always took the time to speak to us and give us positive feedback about our daughter’s progress.

Mrs. Monigle also supported Amelia in areas needed, and Amelia always smiled when speaking of Mrs. Monigle.

We want to thank Brenda Hazzard, Steven Adamson and Heather Farmer for all their support when we needed it most.

They all are the true reasons why Cape is great!
