Rehoboth Farmers Market kicks off holiday season

Large crowd turns out to Grove Park despite cold temperatures and wind

The Rehoboth Beach Farmers Market hosted its annual holiday market Nov. 30 in Grove Park. It was slow to begin, but more customers turned out as the afternoon temperatures ticked up and the wind died down. There were 40 vendors offering holiday gift items, decorations, treats and fresh produce.

Pat Coluzzi, market founder and manager, was pleased with the turnout.

“It’s always a popular event. It looks like a day in July,” said Coluzzi. “The only thing we needed was a little snow.”

Some of the vendors had fresh produce like the purple cauliflower offered by Selbyville’s Herbs, Spice, Everything Nice.
Many in the crowd seemed to bee line to the Old World Bakery stand, which is why there weren’t many of these baked sugared lemon donuts left after only a short period.
