Rehoboth historical society gives thanks

December 21, 2021

The Rehoboth Beach Historical Society wishes to thank members and friends of the society for their tremendous support and generosity over the past year. On Oct. 23, we had a great turnout for our 2021 Beach Ball Drive-n-Dine/Bid Online event. In contrast to our 2020 Beach Ball Bounce Back campaign, this year we offered curbside pick-up dinners from Kings Creek Country Club, an online version of our traditional silent auction, and music from Junior Wilson & Chatty performing “live” on our YouTube channel. We sincerely appreciate the generosity of our Beach Ball auction donors. We would also like to thank the event sponsors who help make this event so special, including Arena’s Deli and Bar, Community Bank Delaware, Fulton Bank, Harvey Hanna and Associates Inc., Lyons Companies, The Meoli Companies, M&T Bank, RE/MAX Realty Group Rehoboth and WSFS Bank.

In November during our annual members’ meeting, we showcased pictures from the winners of the Delaware Beach Life magazine photo contest in an exhibit that continues through Jan. 30, 2022. We invite the public to visit this beautiful exhibit during our open hours of 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Friday; and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday and Sunday.

Please mark your calendars for the 17th annual Beach Ball Beach Treats next year Aug. 6 at Kings Creek Country Club, when once again we can all come together for our great party in support of the museum, its exhibits and educational programs.
