Rehoboth library selling 30 Chances to Win tickets

July 10, 2021

The Friends of the Rehoboth Beach Public Library has launched a new fundraiser to support the library in its purchase of new books, DVDs, periodicals and other materials.

Each day during September, one lucky ticket holder’s name will be drawn to win $100 in gift certificates to local shops and restaurants. Raffle tickets are on sale now through Tuesday, Aug. 31.

Tickets are one for $10, three for $25, seven for $50 and 20 for $100. Tickets may be purchased at the Rehoboth library and Browseabout Books.

Tickets also will be sold in front of the Rehoboth library from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. most Saturdays and Sundays during July and August. An order form may also be downloaded at rehoboth.lib.de.us and mailed in with payment.

Special thanks go to the Country Club Estates Property Owners’ Association, M&T Bank, County Bank and the Rehoboth Beach Homeowners’ Association, which have underwritten the purchase of gift certificates from local businesses used for prizes.

The more tickets one buys, the greater the chances of winning. Tickets not drawn will remain in the pot for future drawings. Winners need not be present to win, but they must bring the winning ticket with them to pick up their prizes. Winners will be notified by phone or email and may pick up their prizes at the library or have them mailed.

Prizes include gift cards to one or more of the following businesses: Blackwall Hitch, Browseabout Books, Café Azafran, Carlton’s, Catcher’s, Comfort Shoes, Confucius, Cotton Club, Critter Beach, Dogfish Head, Eden, Fins, Frank & Louie’s, Grotto Pizza, HeartWish Massage, Houston White, Indigo, Kilwin’s, Love’s Liquors, Mariachi, Mod Cottage, Pelican Loft, Rehoboth Cycle Sports, Rigby’s, Rise Up, Spice and Tea Exchange, Sunny Bay Café, Summer House, and Rehoboth Toy & Kite Company.

The Rehoboth Beach Public Library is an independent library within the Delaware Division of Libraries Consortium. As such, it is only partially funded by state and county taxes. The library depends on donations and fundraising to purchase new materials for its collections. Local support helps the library maintain its position as a vital part of the community.
