In a press release April 4, the Rehoboth Beach Police Department announced the hiring of Brian Reynolds as its newest officer.

“Reynolds’ law enforcement experience, training and appreciation for the Rehoboth community will be great assets for the department,” said Chief Keith Banks in a prepared statement.

Reynolds’ most recent law enforcement experience was with the Camden Police Department as a patrol officer. Prior to that, he served as a seasonal police officer in Rehoboth Beach. He is a native of Delaware and graduated from Delaware Technical Community College where he majored in human services. He and his wife have a daughter and are expecting a baby this fall.

In a prepared statement, Reynolds said he was attracted to work in Rehoboth because he thinks it is an excellent opportunity to give back locally. Additionally, he said he believes in the importance and success of community policing, which he said the Rehoboth police department excels at.

The addition of Reynolds makes 17 full-time officers for the police department.
