Rehoboth: System issue may cause water outage, low pressure
The City of Rehoboth Beach issued an urgent notice Aug. 25 regarding low water pressure and possibly a water outage affecting customers in the Rehoboth area.
Due to a water system problem south of Route 1 and east of the Lewes-Rehoboth Canal, customers may experience a temporary water outage or periods of low water pressure. Issues may continue until the system is repaired later Tuesday evening.
Those experiencing water outages or low water pressure are asked to immediately discontinue any nonessential water use, including outdoor irrigation and car washing. Minimizing use will reduce the potential for the water system to lose pressure or run out of water, the notice says.
