The Taco Bell on Route 1 near Rehoboth Beach appears to be going through a renovation following a fire that damaged the restaurant in late 2024.
Located in the Rehoboth Mall development, the building has sat vacant since a fire Nov. 1 that caused $100,000 in damages to the structure. A fence has been installed around the perimeter of the property and a crew has been working on removing the shell of the old restaurant for the better part of a week.
Inquiries to Taco Bell’s corporate office about the future of the property have gone unanswered. However, a worker at the site said the building is being renovated and will again be a Taco Bell when complete.
