ResortQuest Pro Women's Open continues

At Sea Colony through June 19

The inaugural ResortQuest Pro Women’s Open at Sea Colony is still under way.  Events  will continue through Sunday, June 19, on the clay courts at the Sea Colony Tennis Center, just south of Bethany Beach.  Finals for the pro women's event are scheduled for June 19.

Sponsored by ResortQuest and the United States Tennis Association, and hosted by Sea Colony, the singles and doubles women’s tennis tournament has up-and-coming players seeking to improve their world rankings and claim their share of $10,000 in prize money. More than 100 women from 18 different nations on six continents are competing.

The top-ranked player registered for the tournament is Beatrice Capra from Ellicott City, Md. The 19-year-old is currently the 242nd-ranked singles player in the world and is currently ranked 429th in doubles. Capra has already made a mark on the pro circuit by winning two rounds at last summer’s U.S. Open. Admission to the tournament is free.
