In reverse, Georgetown still has Christmas parade
Chamber and town officials regroup to present Topsy Turvy COVID event on The Circle
December 16, 2020
Not to be deterred, the Greater Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Georgetown regrouped and staged a reverse Christmas parade Dec. 15 with floats and groups parked around The Circle for passersby to see as they drove by. Santa Claus made an appearance on the balcony of the historic Brick Hotel, and DJ Sky Brady played music for the season. The event brought out hundreds of people who clogged the side streets of Georgetown as they waited their turn to drive around The Circle.
The original Topsy Turvy COVID Christmas Parade, scheduled for Dec. 3, was canceled due to logistics related to the pandemic.
