Richard D. McFetridge, enjoyed the beach
On Thursday, March 24, 2022, Richard D. McFetridge left this earth for a heavenly rest surrounded by love.
Richard was born in 1959, to the late George and Florence McFetridge, and was raised in Malvern, Pa.
He attended Great Valley High School, and graduated magna cum laude from West Chester University with a bachelor of science degree in 1983. Upon graduation from college, Richard worked for DuPont for many years before transitioning to Merck as a senior clinical science manager and program lead director.
In his spare time, Richard enjoyed gardening, pottery, cooking, music, the beach and vacationing with his loving husband, Brian.
Richard was preceded in death by his sister, Diana Hunter (Frank) of Bethany Beach; and his brother, George McFetridge (Dovetta) of Honey Brook, Pa.
Richard is survived by his husband of 27 years, Brian King; and his brother, Bill McFetridge (Kim) of Downingtown, Pa. Richard is survived by many nieces and nephews, and many loved and treasured friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at noon, Sunday, May 22, at The Clubhouse at Baywood, Millsboro.
