Rick Whaley joins used-car sales team at Lewes Auto Mall

recently announced Rick Whaley has rejoined the Used Car Sales Department after an absence of three years. Whaley was previously with the dealership when it was operating as C.P. Diver.

“I’ve been selling cars on Coastal Highway for over 20 years, and I know a lot of my customers will be happy to know where to find me, because they know I’m going to take good care of them,” said Whaley.

Whaley started working in the service department at a Buick dealership in 1975. “I was selling so many cars to my service customers that they decided they’d better move me to the showroom,” said Whaley, laughing.

He’s been working in the automotive business ever since, wearing different hats as the need demanded - from used car manager, finance manager, new car manager and service manager.

Sales is really his forte because he enjoys the contact with people and helping people find a car they’re really excited about. “I’m excited to see Rick come back to Lewes Auto Mall, because more and more, the car business is tied in to the internet, and Rick has the skills to deal with people who are used to shopping online,” said Craig Gaskin, used-car manager. “He’s a great addition to the already strong sales team I’ve got here. I think we’ve got some of the greatest folks in the business in the used car showroom.”
