Robert ‘Bob’ Leroy Soule Sr., enjoyed coaching
Robert Leroy Soule Sr., “Bob,” 83, of Lancaster, S.C., passed away Sunday, April 12, 2020, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Bob was born Aug. 21, 1936, in Waterville, Maine, a son of the late Clifton Soule and Nina Kitchen Soule. Bob was married to his beloved wife, Virginia Glaum Soule, for 60 years.
Bob worked as a pipefitter welder out of Local 74 Plumber and Pipefitters Union Hall. He was a lifelong Mason, Brandywine Forest and Tall Cedar of Lebanon of Wilmington.
Bob’s love for baseball and football was emulated in the many years he coached Little League baseball, Babe Ruth, American League baseball and Pop Warner. Everyone he coached respected his wisdom, knowledge and expertise. Another one of his loves was to go fishing in the Delaware Bay with his family and friends.
Bob is survived by his spouse, Virginia “Ginny” Soule; three children, Robert Soule Jr. (Teresa), Stacey Soule Cremonni (Matthew), and Brian Soule (Melissa); four grandchildren, Steven Soule (Candice), Matthew R. Cremonni (Tiffany), Michael Cremonni and Mackenzie Soule; and four great-grandchildren, Matty Cremonni, Vivian Soule, Lillian Cremonni and Brielle Soule.
The Celebration of Life Service for Bob will be private, due to government-mandated COVID-19 restrictions. Family will provide a date for service at a later time to be held in Lewes.
