Safeway celebrates completed renovations with ribbon cutting
The Safeway grocery store outside Rehoboth Beach kicked off Memorial Day weekend May 26 with a ribbon cutting and celebration of its extensive renovations, new features and expanded offerings.
Renovations include new cases and fixtures in all departments, new decor, new lighting and new flooring. Expanded products include more packaged meal options in the deli, gourmet decorated cakes in the bakery, expanded selection in produce, a redesign of the floral department, upgraded seafood and butcher block, more seasonal offerings, and a greater selection of natural and organic products.
Additionally, Safeway donated $2,500 each to Cape Henlopen Food Basket and Cape Henlopen School District.
