Sandra Kay Betts, loved her family
Sandra “Sandy” Kay Betts of Milton passed away Thursday, Jan. 26, 2023, at Bayhealth Sussex Campus in Milford. She was born Oct. 17, 1950, to her parents Norman Levi and Hannah (Mitchell) Messick in Milford.
Sandy enjoyed going to the slots, spending time with family and friends, and going to ball games. She worked at Thoro Kleen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Gardner Messick, Ray Messick, Harold Messick, Ralph Messick, Jimmy Messick and Norman Messick Jr.; and sisters, Marie Bertrand, Eliza “Belle” Elliott and Virginia Lee Hickman.
Sandy is survived by her husband of 49 years, Barry Betts Sr.; sons, Barry Betts Jr. (Kathie) and Curtis Betts (Heather); grandchildren, Allen Betts (Devan), Gage Betts (Taylor), Cale Betts, Hannah Wyatt (Kolby) and Mackenzie Betts; great-grandchildren, Charlotte Betts, Reid Betts, Paisleigh Wyatt, Braylee Betts and Travis Wyatt; siblings, Ernest Messick, Nancy Hammond (Dale), Doris Donaway (Irving); and a host of nieces and nephews.
A time of visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 31, at Short Funeral Services, 416 Federal St., Milton. A Celebration of Life will be held immediately following the time of visitation at Milton Fire Department, 116 Front St., Milton
