SBCA honors Blenheim Homes owners

June 25, 2010

The Small Business Council of America, a national nonprofit organization, recently honored Jay and Kashmira Sonecha of Newark as its 2010 small business people of the year at the organization’s 27th Annual Congressional Awards reception on Capitol Hill. Among the other honorees were three U.S. senators and three members of Congress.

The Sonechas were recognized for their outstanding achievements as representatives of the nation’s small businesses and for their charitable and humanitarian efforts.

They are the founders of Blenheim Homes, Blenheim Hospitality Group and The Sonecha Foundation.

Through these organizations they have created communities and homes for thousands of people, generated economic opportunity and growth in several states and have given back to their community through the foundation.

“Whenever possible, we have tried to fulfill this obligation with our personal time and financial resources and have come to enjoy it as a privilege that it is,” said Jay Sonecha.
