Seawitch 5K attracts 400 strange-looking striders

October 30, 2011

Serious runners clad in silly costumes raced a 5K Oct. 30 starting from The Grove Park just off the circle of confusion leading into Rehoboth and heading east on Henlopen Avenue.

The weather was colder than a grave digger's belt buckle, and runners finishing looked haggard and zombie-fried in a Thrasher's-family-bucket-with-extra-salt sort of way.

Enos Benbow, the Georgetown Jamaican who always looks in harmony with the elements, was the overall winner, running 16 minutes and change.
